Unreal Tournament 2004
, also known as UT2004 or UT2K4, is an action game in first person, mainly oriented to the multiplayer experience, much like its predecessor, Unreal Tournament 2003, in which the objective varies with the chosen game mode, but in all cases include the use of violence (virtual, of course) to get it. The game also includes a single player mode that mimics multiplayer gaming through the use of computer-controlled entities that simulate human players, called bots.

Unreal Tournament 2004 is part of the Unreal series, and is the sequel to Unreal Tournament 2003, besides being a successor to the Unreal Tournament game whom many consider superior to UT2003 and UT2004. The game was co-developed by Epic Games and Digital Extremes and published by Atari. The biggest addition that makes the universe UT2004 Unreal is the introduction of vehicles to the FPS formula, following in the footsteps of games like Tribes 2, Halo: Combat Evolved, and Battlefield 1942. One of the central and final of the Unreal Tournaments, and one of the major components of its success is the ease with which many players can create and share their own modifications and own content such as maps (which are abundant in number) weapons, and gameplay modes innovative, also called mods. Several of the maps created by players are generally higher than those that come with the game. Consequently, many if not most, of the UT servers around the world include third-party maps in their rotations. Custom maps can be created with the editor (Unreal) included with the game. Besides introducing new weapons, vehicles and game modes, and to recover portals Sniper Rifle, Unreal Tournament 2004 brings the entire contents of Unreal Tournament 2003. Consequently, Unreal Tournament 2004 completely replaced Unreal Tournament 2003 in stores. The Unreal Tournament 2004 boxes sold in the United States included a mail-in rebate of $ S10 requiring a short form is filled out and sent to Atari, along with a copy of the manual cover for Unreal Tournament 2003. " The versions for sale in the UK have a similar offer, but require the submission of the CD game Unreal Tournament 2003 instead.
His successor, Unreal Tournament 3, was released in November 2007 with sales success.
